So you want to run Windows XP as your daily driver. This guide should help you do it right, and includes a wealth of information about software support and getting the programs you need.

Obtaining and activating

The Internet Archive has build collections available of Windows XP, including the x64 version. Betawiki has articles bearing the version history for both the x86 and x64 versions – read them and choose your desired RTM version number (perhaps the latest?), and with that in hand, do a search on the Internet Archive or a search engine until they turn up.
